Each year, more and more people visit the Land of Fire and Ice. If you haven’t been to Iceland yet, a Ring Road road trip in Iceland should be on your bucket list.
Make sure your map is loaded before you lose service, especially in the northern parts of the country.
We started at the Thingvellir Visitor Center (at the end of Hakid Road) where you can walk between the continents.
By the time we drove there (only about a 10-minute drive), the sunset painted the sky. If you want to see it in the sunlight, make sure to go in the middle of the day.
Thanks to a late night and jet lag, we slept in a little bit. After waking up and getting some breakfast, we headed out to our first waterfall of the day.
Haifoss is one of the tallest waterfalls we saw, falling 400 feet (122 meters) to the base of the gorge.
