Iceland recently exploded onto the travel scene. Each year, more and more people visit the Land of Fire and Ice.
Make sure to rent WiFi or a GPS as well. We rented WiFi and used the maps on our phones. This option was easy and also allowed us to look up things as we went.
Make sure to fill up your gas tank often. We tried to keep the gas tank over half full. Sometimes you drive long stretches of Ring Road without seeing any gas stations or other stops.
There is a viewing platform where you can look down the river and across at the waterfall.
We spent most of the second day exploring some of the best and most popular waterfalls along the southern coast of Iceland.
Make sure to take it slow as there are some big rocks and potholes in the road. Pay attention to the conditions of the road, especially if it is wet.
